Up and running in under five minutes. No configuration required — but here's what you can tweak.
Purchase and download from CS-Cart Marketplace
Go to your CS-Cart Marketplace account and download the addon .zip file after purchase. Keep it somewhere easy to find.
Upload via Admin Panel
In your CS-Cart admin, go to Add-ons → Manage add-ons. Click the + button (Upload add-on). Select the downloaded zip and click Upload & Install.

Find France Adresse Pro in the addon list and make sure its status is set to Active. That's it — the autocomplete is now live on your storefront checkout.
Test it
Open your storefront in a browser, go to checkout, and start typing a French street address. The autocomplete dropdown should appear immediately. Try typing 14 Rue de la P to see suggestions.
France Adresse Pro is designed to work with zero configuration. However, a few optional settings let you fine-tune the behaviour for your store.
Access addon settings
Go to Add-ons → Manage add-ons, find France Adresse Pro, and click the addon name to open its settings panel.
Minimum characters before search
Controls how many characters the customer must type before the dropdown appears. Default is 3. Increase to reduce API calls on slow connections; decrease for faster response on fast connections.
Number of suggestions shown
How many address suggestions appear in the dropdown. Default is 5. You can set this between 3 and 10 depending on your layout and screen size needs.
No settings to worry about
There is no API key to enter, no endpoint to configure, and no account to create. The addon connects directly to api-adresse.data.gouv.fr — a free, public, rate-limit-free government API.

Customer reaches the address step
During checkout or when editing their address profile, the customer sees a standard address form. The France Adresse Pro autocomplete is invisible at this point — it activates on input.
Customer starts typing in the street field
After typing the minimum number of characters (default: 3), a dropdown appears below the field showing up to 5 matching verified French addresses. Each suggestion shows the full street address with city and postcode.
Customer selects their address
They click the correct suggestion with a mouse, tap it on mobile, or navigate with the keyboard arrow keys and press Enter. All three interaction methods work identically.
All fields populate instantly
The street address field updates to the verified street name and number. The city and postcode fields fill automatically. The customer does not need to type anything else — they can proceed directly to the next checkout step.
💡 Customers who have never used address autocomplete before understand it intuitively. In testing, completion times for the address step drop significantly compared to manual entry.The dropdown does not appear
Check that the customer has France selected as their country in the address form. The addon only activates for French addresses. Also verify the addon status is Active in Add-ons → Manage add-ons.
Suggestions appear but the fields don't fill on selection
This may be a theme JavaScript conflict. Check your browser console for errors. Contact mokeshop support with the error message and your CS-Cart version — we'll investigate your theme's field IDs and patch the addon accordingly.
The API returns no results for a valid address
The government API covers the entire French address database including overseas territories (DOM-TOM). If an address is genuinely not found, it may be a very new construction or a non-standard address. The customer can always type their address manually — the addon degrades gracefully if no suggestion is selected.
